Dear parents/caregivers,
Room 14 has been learning about keeping warm.
Next week we are going to do a science experiment to find out which materials will keep hot water hot for the longest. We are collecting fleece, small items of clothing (socks etc) tin foil, bubble wrap, and other items that we think might keep the water hot.
We need your help with collecting the materials we will need.
If you have some of these items lying around at home, could we have them to take to school before Tuesday.

Ethans student led conference
Ethan and I love the student led conferences, its a great time to get a real insight as to what they do in the classroom. I especially love the Mihi, it was very well pronunciated and very clear and concise, excellent job by Ethan, Su-Been and Lily.
I also liked playing your favourite learning games.

Reflection Week 7
This week in team 14 we have been ...
Learning our 3, 4, and 6 times tables.
We have learnt to use 2 strategies to help us - skip counting and repeat addition.
Learning about characters and how to write descriptions for them. We know that a good description is made up of information including name, what they look like, where they live, what they like or dis-like, any sports they play, any hobbies or pets they have, and the personality of the character.
Learning about science by growing beans from bean seeds with Mrs N.
Next week we will be doing some science experiements with Miss Graham - we will be looking at how things keep warm.
We have enjoyed using the pods of laptops to explore our blog.
